QBracelet is a simple and interesting take on wearable technology by Q Design Studio in NYC. The idea is pretty basic: a bracelet that acts as a secondary battery for charging your phone while you're out. The reason why it resonated with me is because the idea attacks the idea of wearable technology from a totally different angle. The object is not smart, it does not display any information, it does not have wireless connectivity, and yet it solves a very real problem in mobile technology. Personally, I would rather take my chances on watching my phone die than strap a clunky battery case to it so having a simple piece of wearable tech that provides a quick battery boost makes a ton of sense to me. Well done!
