Very interesting smart textile technology by Cute Circuit embeds micro LEDs into fabric that can be programed wirelessly to display different patterns and styles. The idea is that it will enable consumers to get more value out of their garments requiring them to buy fewer fashion pieces because each Cute Circuit dress is actually 10 dresses in one. It's a really interesting idea and cool technology but I don't know if I'm convinced that it will result in more responsible fashion consumption on the part of the user. In the short term I think this technology will find a home with fashion accessories such as purses, hats, scarves, etc. but I have a hard time seeing it gain immediate momentum on primary clothing pieces. I could, however, imagine its application becoming more mainstream further down the road.
