Apple unveiled their Apple Watch this morning and although most people anticipated that Apple would announce a new watch they still exceeded expectations by leaps and bounds. Personally, I haven't been this excited about a new Apple product since the original iPhone was unveiled.
Great example of beautiful story telling through brand by GBH. Although the Verb Hotel in Boston is right next door to Fenway park their heritage is rooted more in rock n' roll having hosted notable musicians like The Velvet Underground, Ray Charles, The Rolling Stones, Aerosmith, The Who, Springsteen, and Nirvana. The branding of the hotel therefore follows this rock n' roll theme through and through. The new branding pays exceptional attention to detail and makes sure to tell their story to perfection at every point in the consumer experience.

To enhance a series of musical performances, Atmos Studio has designed and installed an interactive tree-like network of LEDs in London’s Camden Roundhouse venue. Titled ‘Arboreal Lightning’, the illuminated sinuous form responds to sound input, producing a dynamic lighting event to activate each show. The project was initially undertaken to complement the four-day ‘reverb festival of contemporary classical music’, aimed at showcasing technological innovations. the piece was commissioned in part by musician Imogen Heap, and will complement her on a year-long world tour.
Interesting alternative use of materials here by Ryosuke Fukusada. The ultra-thin wooden lightbulb is created using traditional Japanese lathe turning from 100-year-old pine.
Using a technique called Rokuro, the wood is turned on a lathe using a bespoke knife until the walls of the bulb are between two and three millimetres thick, enabling the light from the LED inside to show through.
The design is only made possible because LEDs stay cool enough to avoid burning the inside of the wooden form.
