Apple unveiled their Apple Watch this morning and although most people anticipated that Apple would announce a new watch they still exceeded expectations by leaps and bounds. Personally, I haven't been this excited about a new Apple product since the original iPhone was unveiled.
Yves Behar and Fuseproject recently collaborated with Mark One to design the Vessyl Smart cup. Pour any liquid into your Vessyl, and within seconds, its sensing technology analyzes the fluid at a molecular level, and instantly recognizes key pieces of information such as beverage type, calorie make up, quantity and hydration needs. for example, the device can tell the difference between brands such as pepsi and coke, or distinguish if the beverage is milk or juice.
That, however, is just the beginning. The display provides information such as total calories in a drink, grams of sugar, fat, protein, sodium, and caffeine. This data is tracked through your smart phone and compared against data from your activity tracker in order to paint a more accurate picture of health and hydration for the user.
