I'm not a beer drinker but I have to tip my cap to the designers who came up with the idea to match different beers and their hues to Pantone and their iconic color chips. It's such a simple and genius idea and it brought a smile to my face when I saw it. I love ideas like this that are simple, easily understood, clever and evoke joyful emotional responses.
Great example of beautiful story telling through brand by GBH. Although the Verb Hotel in Boston is right next door to Fenway park their heritage is rooted more in rock n' roll having hosted notable musicians like The Velvet Underground, Ray Charles, The Rolling Stones, Aerosmith, The Who, Springsteen, and Nirvana. The branding of the hotel therefore follows this rock n' roll theme through and through. The new branding pays exceptional attention to detail and makes sure to tell their story to perfection at every point in the consumer experience.
Great new branding by Red Antler in NYC for Foursquare and Swarm. I love the distinct and opposite approach for each one with Foursquare taking on a very strong, powerful visual feel while Swarm is warmer and more inviting to the user. Both feel very appropriate for each brand.

Normally I'm not a big fan of smart phone cases. I mean, why would I cover a beautiful, expensive, carefully-designed product that I love with a cheap, bulky case that does a marginal job of protecting the beautiful, expensive, carefully-designed product that I love? A lot has been made of Airbnb's new logo on the internet recently and I can only imagine that while the reaction probably isn't exactly what they had in mind they are ecstatic to be receiving so much free publicity. My personal take is that it is clean, beautiful, inviting and friendly, all of which are characteristics of their community-based sharing platform so it works! In a few months the criticism will all be forgotten and Airbnb's brand identity will be firmly established. Well done!
